Currently I am spending a good deal of time learning how to build and launch high-powered rockets, but over the years I have learned to fly, been a crew chief on fighters in the Air Force during the Vietnam era, run a couple of businesses, delved into astro-photography, got my General ham ticket (hence the name of the site), taken quite a few family snapshots, edited a few videos, entered dog shows with my trusted (well-almost) sidekick River, carried a single-digit handicap in golf, was a pretty good third baseman on traveling-tournament men's softball teams, have a Master's degree in information systems, played electric bass in a few bands, and so on, so I have accumulated some things I would like to share if it may help someone take a shorter route than the usual trial-and-error...below is a brief resume of the major events in my life so far...

1947  Born in the town of Paia on the island of Maui, Hawaii
